Therapy Sessions.

Some clients need warmth and validation, while others thrive with therapists who are more direct. We endeavor to support people while encouraging growth, with authenticity as a guiding principle. Our styles are informed by modern psychodynamic, humanistic, and insight-oriented approaches.

Whether someone is looking for short-term support during a period of loss, uncertainty, or crisis; or guidance regarding deeper work to address persistent wounds or patterns; or simply needs to talk about a problem they are having, we focus on solutions that work for the particular individual. A life well-lived is a creative process, and we help those we work with to realize their own talents and potential.

Therapy can be life-changing, but only with a good fit between therapist and client. We encourage people seeking a therapist to trust their own intuition on the potential for connection.

Structure.

While many of our clients choose the convenience of remote zoom sessions, we also see clients in-person at our 1133 Broadway office (at 26th Street in Manhattan).

Payment.

We do accept some major insurance plans in-network, including Aetna and Cigna Wellfleet. Many health insurance plans reimburse members for out-of-network psychotherapy costs, and we provide billing paperwork to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Payments are accepted by Venmo and all major credit and debit cards.

Getting started.

We begin with a brief phone call for 15 minutes or so at no charge. During this call, one of our therapists can answer any questions you may have and learn a little bit about what you’re going through to see if they think they can help.
